245th Anniversary of the Battle of Stony Point

Come and celebrate the 245th Anniversary of the Battle of Stony Point-one of the last major Revolutionary War battles in the northeastern United States. Reenactors from multiple groups will be on hand including the 2nd NY Regiment, Lamb’s Artillery and Spencer’s Regime. Artillery and musket demonstrations will be held throughout the day, and visitors can learn from soldiers about life during the Revolutionary War. At 2PM, visitors can listen to a lecture on the Battle of Stony Point and learn about the incredible battle, fought at midnight on July 16, 1779. General Anthony Wayne’s Corps of Light Infantry stormed and captured the British fort at Stony Point with just the point of their bayonets.
