Furthering its promotion of a growing downtown scene centered around retail businesses and outdoor events on Remsen Street, the city will host the inaugural Cohoes Holiday Market on weekends from Nov. 26 to Dec. 23.

Modeled after December gift markets held in German town squares for more than 500 years and now popular in many countries and dozens of America cities, the Cohoes Holiday Market will feature 10 vendors in wooden stalls in Canal Square Park, Silliman Park and a new public space at the corner of White and Remsen streets. Two of the parks are on Remsen Street, the other half a block away, across from City Hall.
