1. Altamont Fair | Albany County
The Altamont Fair is designed to bring out the best in entertainment, provide an educational experience, and showcase local history and traditions. 2. Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival | Greene County
Grey Fox is an annual 4-day bluegrass festival held in Oak Hill, NY - this year from July 12th through the 16th. The festival features a wide variety of bluegrass, newgrass, and roots music on six stages, as well as camping, dancing, workshops, family fun, and more. 3. New York Renaissance Faire | Orange County
The New York Renaissance Faire is a Renaissance faire located in Tuxedo, New York off New York State Route 17A. The 65-acre faire comprises permanent structures and has twenty stages and more than 100 shops. 4. Piermont Festival of the Hudson Valley Arts | Rockland County
Head on over to the Piermont Festival of the Hudson Valley Arts on Saturday, June 10, from 12 to 8 p.m. at Flywheel Park Village Square in Piermont. The First Annual Piermont Hudson Valley Arts Festival celebrates art in all its forms. This free event will bring together visual, musical, spoken word, and performing arts. The event will feature “Meet the Artists” receptions at all the village’s renowned galleries, and “Art in the Park” exhibitions of regional artists and unique artisans. The event will also feature the Piermont Film Festival now in its 4th year.
5. Caribbean Carnival | Ulster County
The Third Annual Caribbean Carnivale at Cantine Veterans Memorial Field in Saugerties will be held on August 12. Experience a day of Carnivale fun, complete with authentic Caribbean food, music, and a variety of cultural events. In the West Indies, the carnival celebration signals the “crop over” time, when the harvest is complete. Come celebrate the joy of the West Indies!
6. Westchester Wine & Food Festival | Westchester County
The Westchester Wine & Food Festival is a multi-day extravaganza of wine, food, chefs, restaurants, beer, and spirits, featuring tastings, parties, a burger contest, cooking exhibitions, and more!
