Dutchess
New York State Sheep and Wool Festival at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds (Oct. 17-18)
It’s four straight days filled with all things sheep and wool!
Whether you’re an experienced maker, a working shepherd, or simply looking for a unique fall tradition, there’s something here to inspire, learn, and enjoy at the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival, set for Oct. 17 and 18, 2026. There will be hundreds of wool and fiber-arts vendors selling materials, tools, and more. Experience livestock shows, fiber-arts competitions, workshops, sheep breed demonstrations, and educational presentations.
Arrive a day or two early and you can sharpen your crafting skills and learn some new tricks at a wide array of fiber workshops on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15 and 16, 2026. Plus, your tuition to any of these workshops includes your admission to the weekend festival!
