For food enthusiasts in the Hudson Valley—cough, cough, everyone—the most magical time of the year is almost here. That’s right, Valley Table‘s Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is right around the corner.
In anticipation of the two weeks of culinary extravagance, which kicks off on October 30 and runs until November 12, we got in touch with a few of the masterminds behind the leading eateries in the Hudson Valley. New this fall, for lunch and/or dinner at participating establishments, diners will choose between four price points: $44.95, $39.95, $29.95, and $24.95. Now, find a great eatery near you and make a reservation—it’s the only way to stop the stomach rumblings.

Appetizers at the restaurant and bar include meat croquettes, grilled squid with a lemon mustard and caper sauce, cream of shrimp soup, or a strawberry and spinach salad for a vegan option. Moving on to the main event, enjoy a selection from four indulgent dishes including roast lamb shank, cod with whipped truffle potatoes, vegetable gratin for vegan and gluten-free diners, or pork loin with orange sauce for something zesty.
Don’t miss out on the dessert options, which include an apple strudel that is perfect for fall apple season, a gluten-free chocolate mousse, or an orange tart.

For Restaurant Week, Heritage showcases a prix-fixe menu at two price points: $39.95 for lunch and $44.95 for dinner. The lunch menu is chock-full of seasonal flavors and favorites, starting with a sweet potato tempura with maple aioli and chili-rubbed ribeye steak tips with a cilantro peanut pesto. The fall flavors carry over into the entree dishes, with a choice between a porchetta and broccoli rabe hero, butternut squash ravioli, or grilled chicken gyro.

Dessert does not disappoint with gourmet black and white cream puffs (cookies and cream flavored cream inside chocolate sauce drizzled cream puffs) or pumpkin pie tarts, which come complete with whipped marshmallow and caramel.

If you’re wondering where to get freshly-roasted coffee and farm-fresh breakfast, head to downtown Suffern to check out Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. Taking over the space that was once a Capital One bank, Java Love converted the lot into a café and coffee bar where they roast their own coffee beans in-house. A visit to the shop gets your front row seats to see the roasting process, along with sweet treats to snack or sip on while you’re there.

Java Love’s prix-fixe Restaurant Week menu includes a lunch or brunch meal for two guests at $39.95 from Monday to Sunday. Diners get a pick of two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts for the price point, which is quite the steal! Brunch starts with a mixed green salad, fruit plate, or Greek yogurt with granola, then moves on to an extensive choice of entrees ranging from sweet breakfasts like challah French toast to classic lunch items like melts and sandwiches. The avocado toast and poached eggs make for a healthy meal, while the salmon cream cheese bagel satisfies a Sunday craving.

Whether you’re staying in the hotel, golfing at Monster Golf Club, or just visiting, Lotus is more than worth the meal. Sunday through Tuesday, this restaurant serves a prix-fixe menu for dinner at $44.95 per person, which provides diners with one appetizer, entree, and dessert, and the option to add $24 to the bill for respective wine pairings.

Start off dinner with crispy rice tofu, served with sweet red onion and scallions, or pan-fried pot stickers with a ginger soy sauce dip. Make the main course an occasion to remember with stir-fried shrimp and scallops mixed with asparagus, snow peas, broccoli, and carrots in a sweet and savory brown garlic sauce, or opt for the wok-fried Sichuan salmon for a kick.
