Saturday Morning Family Series at the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck

The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck presents its beloved Saturday Morning Family Series featuring a delightful array of family-friendly performances on Saturdays at 11 a.m. With shows lasting between 45–60 minutes, this series is designed specifically for children and their families.

Here is the schedule:
• Feb. 22: “The Wizard of Oz.” Step into an enchanting interactive experience where the audience plays a crucial role in helping Dorothy and her friends defeat the Wicked Witch, making each performance a unique adventure!
• March 1: “Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother.” Join Kit’s Interactive Theatre, Cinderella, her fairy godmother, and other fairy tale characters as they frolic through Storyland to solve a riddle and beware the Giant!
• March 8: Castaway Show. The audience will help the lost Nutty Scientist get food and water, and signal for rescue. Along the way, they’ll find rockets, make slime, shoot smoke rings, and see amazing electrical demonstrations with a Van De Graaff generator!
• March 15: Celtic Heels Irish Dance. Joan McGrenaghan, Meghan Craft, and their Celtic Heels Performance Troupe returns to The Center’s stage for their 40th anniversary show! Shows at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• March 22: “Rip Van Winkle.” Experience an interactive retelling of Washington Irving’s classic story presented by Center Players on Tour. After sleeping for 20 years, Rip Van Winkle awakens to a different world. Will he be able to rejoin his family?
• March 29: “Hansel and Gretel.” The masterful Tanglewood Marionettes return with their production of Hansel and Gretel, which is based on the classic fairy tale by Brothers Grimm and features melodies from the Humperdinck opera.
• April 5: “Skyhunters in Flight.” Learn how birds of prey live and survive with an indoor falconry lecture and presentation, followed by an exciting outdoor flight demonstration (weather permitting). Featuring Brian Bradley.
